New here, long time member of audizine. Just purchased a 2016 vr6 lux model. Please flame me if I’m blind. However I cannot seem to locate a diy for the newer vr6 oil change. Is it similar to the older vr6 diy’s that are posted?

I don't have a DIY but from experience it is pretty straight forward, you need about 7L to refill and the oil filter is a replaceable cartridge you access from the bottom side of the engine so you need to remove belly pan to get to it.
First oil change I did laying on the garage floor, will pay the dealer before I do that again. With a lift it is not a bad job, oil filter is up a little ways on driver side of the engine and when you remove drain plug on bottom of filter canister it will get all over the steering rack.

The oil change should not be too hard for that engine.

Now, in all fairness, the original AXQ V8 with the dual sumps and two oil drains will throw you for a loop the first time you see it.

You have seen it in the Audi World as the Audi 40V V8. I think you guys only had to deal with the one oil drain plug, but basically the Audi engine with an oil pan on steroids.

Ignore the haterz, we should be here to help each other out. This might cover it all for you:

And here are some videos for the older V6 models that may be of help:
