New year price increases?

Hi there!
Well, I got a call from my dealer yesterday to say my 2.5 TDi Touareg should be available wed-thursday next week! very excited!
Over here we've hefty taxes and the purchase price is about €63000 ($80000) I believe a little higher than in the US! anyhow he announced that there was going to be an increase in the purchase price of 1.6% via VW. I paid a deposit back in November and they can still wriggle out of it, a bitter pill to swallow.
Anyone else have experience of the 2.5 tdi's??
