New year price increases?

I did hear about a price increase after the new year. there is a post in this forum about the price increase. check it out

I was told the same thing from my dealer price to go up this January -
the Touaregs are starting to sell really well around here - the dealer is moving cars out - Middletown NY

Base price on the V-6 goes up $1,000.00
Base price on the V-8 goes up $1,900.00

In addition option prices will increase.
Premimum plus package goes from $7,300 to $7,600(V-8 )
Premimum plus package goes from $2,300 to $2,440(V-6 )
Air suspension from $2,300 to $2,600

I'm kind of glad they bumped the price. It forced me off the fence and I really like my new Touareg. I've only got 300 miles and can't wait to get past 1k so I can run it a bit harder.

Don't know how it will play out but maybe the price increase will reduce some of the initial loss driving off the lot? :lol:

Well, I got a call from my dealer yesterday to say my 2.5 TDi Touareg should be available wed-thursday next week! very excited!
Over here we've hefty taxes and the purchase price is about €63000 ($80000) I believe a little higher than in the US! anyhow he announced that there was going to be an increase in the purchase price of 1.6% via VW. I paid a deposit back in November and they can still wriggle out of it, a bitter pill to swallow.

Anyone else have experience of the 2.5 tdi's??

This price increase is true throughout at the Touareg line everywhere in the world. I think they are realizing they can charge more for such a great vehicle....but shhhh don't tell them
