I recently turned 100k on my Touareg and decided to purchase a set of wheels to celebrate.

The wheels are from Victor Equipment and the center caps are OEM from a CC.
I went with the 18 x 9.5's as I wanted a wider wheel with and less offset to give the truck a more aggressive stance.

I mentioned this purchase over in the classified section a few days ago and several guys asked for pic's so, here you go.

The entire set-up (wheels and tires) was $1800 drive out.

Btw....I will be selling my OEM 18" wheels (2007 v10) once I have the time to clean and photograph them. They are in excellent condition, just need a little cleaning.

I really like them so far..... I had been running the Conti Cross Contact LX's with excellent results. I am religious about air pressure and 5K rotations. I averaged (35K-40K) on each set and I'm expecting similar results with these. :)

My TDI had Goodyear Eagle LS2s on it when I picked it up in October, in a snow storm. Miserable excuses for tires, more of a design for luxury cars. I have 18" Blizzaks mounted for my winter shoes now, but took them off last week in anticipation of a trip to the warm southwest for some cactus league pre-season baseball.

I am still running a 255/55. It is pushing the top end of the specifications but they seem to fit fine. I wanted to go larger but the tire selection was limited and I didn't like was was offered.

I'm also a happy 07 V10 owner, got to ask how much maintenance have you done. I'm trying to decide on the warranty. it's been perfect so far at 47K, it's making it hard to buy something I might never use.

Mike,

My post 50K repairs consist of drive shaft center bearing and a thermostat. I am not a believer in extended warranties and try to do most work myself. I would rather have use of the $3K spent on a warranty purchase for other purposes.

My goal is to reach 200K miles. I changed all the fluids at 80K despite VW's lifetime recommendation in support of this goal. My major concern is the transmission as it seems to be the weakest link in the equation.

Are those the "Zehn" in 18 inch? I was thinking about a pair in 20inch.

Yes. However, it will be late next week before I am able to post with photos.

You should be able to find the 255/55's available in a snow tire. Nokian's?

Unfortunately, the 285/50's are a limited production size and are offered in "all season" trim and not considered a winter tire.
