new VW adblue hose

just picked this up at the dealer today. Its designed to attach to the 10L adblue jug you get at your dealer one one end, and screws into the adblue filler cap on the other end. works like a dream. overengineered without a doubt, but spill proof and hassle free adblue fills. i think it was 15 bucks or something like that.

one word of warning, make sure you fully screw in the end at the adblue cap, the nozzle has a lockout (just like the small bottles) so it needs to be all the way in for fluid to flow.

So glad you posted this. I will get one over the weekend. Now, I need to find a way to clean up all the white crystals...

Damp washcloth and time. I also learned to put some towels around the fill area, because I always get a few drips or splurts from the AdBlue jug I use as a funnel.

I will be looking for that new tube too.
the parts guy had a box of them and he said every TDI customer that walked in bought one once he showed them it was available. it also fits all other VAG diesels so can be used on everything from a Passat to a Cayenne.

can't beat a knowedgable parts counter person!
Nickm,
I see you have a T3

Just a quick question,
Does the T3 have the same type of fill port as the T2 ?
Didn't it get relocated to a different place, ( not under the spare ).?
any chance you could provide a part number for those of us with clueless parts departments at our local dealership? thanks

Bought one yesterday, here in Vancouver BC, $25cad, so they are available in Canada now, too.
Has anyone tested whether or not they work with the aftermarket jugs of adblue?
its specific to the VW jug. fwiw the VW jugs are less expensive than the other adblue stuff around here

Yup. And, if on the off chance you have an issue with your system, you have the receipts to show VW that you have been diligent in complying with their recommendations.

Well they definitely aren't cheaper here and I don't really care since I have almost 110k on the Treg.

you could always buy a single jug then you refill it using the aftermarket stuff...kind of like the "cut thebottom of the bottle off " trick but less ghetto :)

The included funnel works just fine, I was simply wondering if the thread pattern was the same. Disregard.

$10-11 is fine by me for a 2.5 gallon jug.

On accident, I found the same as well. 2.5 gal jug for $8.75. I'm definitely buying this hose. I bought one of the small bottles and cut the bottom of if to use as an adapter. This hose will make it a quicker/easier process.
