Alright! I cannot have two as some would have suggested.
My MY12 T3 is at the end of my lease with a decent payout.....It has been a great companion for many memorable road trips and I now have an option to pick another Touareg (because I want to).

I will only buy good used cars but I don't seem to find any with the features I have in this car (all bells whistles expect Area View and 4XMotion - see signature below) - unless I pick up a V8 which I am not keen on.

I can still re-lease this car for another year.

Any thoughts or ideas :-k

No brainer: keep it, but also keep the warranty going!

Was in the same boat last year, keep the T3 or go for a new T4. Could not find the same options I had and the newer model just didn't seen worth the update.
In the end of the day I was offered a very good deal to walk across the road to an Audi to a smaller (which I wanted) and better equipped vehicle.

My two cents worth is to keep hold of your current vehicle and wait until the next generation comes out in two years time.
