Hi Everyone, just wanted to make my first post here. Purchased my 2012 Touareg VR6 (exec trim) back in November 2022 with 36k miles on the odometer, for around $20k. Goal is to make this a suitable camping vehicle to take my kid out to nature over the holidays/weekend. Here's what I have done to it so far :

1. 2-inch spacer lift from Forge Motorsports Overland
2. Replaced the factory wheels/tires with Falken Wildpeak All-Terrains (265/65) on 18-inch Rotiform STL wheels

Here's a recent photo :

Love to hear your thoughts/recommendations/etc (y)

Hi treg_vr6

welcome to Club Touareg. Curious what extreme off-roading you are planning with your kid. Did you try any non-extreme off roading before you lifted your Touareg?

there is a plithora of info in the forum about off-roading and issues with lifting a Touareg you might find interesting.

looking forward to seeing photos of your off-roading adventures.

Thank you! I'm actually looking at the Roofnest Sparrow model , but I'm doing my spare wheel hitch setup first, relocating the backup camera, etc before the tent :)
Also Starlink powered by a generator as well, Too many plans to list lol
