I am replacing the Dynaudio head unit in my treg - Crutchfield sold me an aftermarket camera but I wondered if there was a way to use the factory camera?

if not - is there one that will replace factory? This is for a 2008 v8

Unless you have an adapter to convert the wiring/hookup of the OEM camera to the new head unit, I'd say you should use the camera you bought from Crutchfield.

@Barrychapman -- The factory rear view camera is part of the rear lid handle. Original part number 7L6980551 output an RGB component video signal to the rear view camera control module 7L6907441C, which, in turn, output a processed composite video signal to the nav head unit. It is likely that your new JVC head unit will accept the composite video signal from the rear camera control module, with the correct FAKRA to RCA coaxial connector adaptation. --g
