New Engine?

A dealer told me part of the reason the base price went up on the V8 was due to a modified engine that was being installed in the new touaregs. I've heard this from a friend too, but I have yet to see any evidence that this is the case. Anyone have information on whether or not this is true, and if so, what the difference in the engine is?

he is pulling your leg... there is a V10 coming out but as far as the V8 and the V6 they are the same

I believe the reason for the price increase is solely based on the dollar taking a dive in recent history. The dollar to euro is about 1.27 dollars per euro.
