The new V8 is rated at 350HP and ~327lb/ft (I might be off a couple lb/ft). the old engine was 310HP and ~302 lb/ft. So some modification or re-mapping had to have taken place.
But I see that as the natural progression and is what keeps cars from becomming cheaper each successive model year. So perhaps the suggestion of the weakening dollar is more reasonable. (?)
