Hi all,

I am searching for the correct coding for an RNS510 in a 2008 Touareg with Dynaudio.

We have a 2008 Touareg that originally came with Dynaudio and the RNS2. Almost immediately, we updated to the RNS-510. Since we didn't have the car but a few days with the original stereo in it, we don't really remember how the speakers sounded originally.

I've tried the long coding helper, but no matter what options I try, the sound coming from our RNS510 is really awful. It is SO high pitched and "bright" that we have had to adjust the treble all the way down. Even with these settings, the treble is overwhelming if you turn the volume up more than about 1/3 ... and the sound is just not very good overall.

If you would post or PM me your long coding for your RNS510 if you have Dynaudio, that would be a huge help. I'm hoping I still have something coded incorrectly.

Thanks,
Stephen

I'm still searching for the unicorn owner out there. If you have a 2008-2010 Touareg with RNS510 and Dynaudio AND have the ability to scan and post your long coding, that would help me answer a burning question.

Any unicorns?

Thank you, Steve -- I have used the long coding helper and tried more than a few combinations, but the Dynaudio in our car sounds terrible to us. Some settings certainly sound completely wrong, but the best setting I have been able to find so far sounds pretty awful (very high, shrill treble and no warmth).

Perhaps this is just how Dynaudio sounds, but I have a hard time believing that given the good reviews it gets.

maybe someone with Dynaudio in their 'reg will be able to offer a VCDS code/scan.

Could also check over at Ross-tech's website. They have a repository of "un-broken" cars that are supposed to be the auto-scans of cars before they were modified.

I have the same radio that you just removed, so unfortunately, I'm no help.
