Need access to rear HVAC how the heck!

I need to pull the panel to access the HVAC (flap motor) on my 2008 with the 4C HVAC. Not finding complete info but it seems the floor and several pillars may have to come out to pull that panel.

Can anyone confirm or deny this?

If true it seems like a lot of work to get a panel out!
