That's true German engineering.The "I" isn't fading, it's a DEF level indicator ... it's telling you it's time to AdBlu \\/
Good lateral thinking there - expect to see that on the forthcoming T5!!The "I" isn't fading, it's a DEF level indicator ... it's telling you it's time to AdBlu \\/
Let's see...That's true German engineering.
It's a super easy fix. I just replaced the "I" but it comes with the whole badge. The letters come pre-spaced. It's a very clever process. First lay a piece of tape under the existing letters to mark positioning. Then pull off old letters. I simply put my fingernail under them and pried them off. It came off easily and cleanly. There was no residual stickie. Now get the new numbers ready. You pull off the rear plastic sheet exposing the back of the letters with the stickie, then, viewing through the clear sheet that holds the front on the letters, lay down on the surface of the paint and push down when ready. You can reposition before you push down. When you are satisfied push the letters down and pull off the sheet holding them together. You are done!Same here on mine. I looked at ebay but when i check to see if they fit my '12 TDI Exec it says its incompatible.
Is there a part # or a link you can send to find these. Also, how easy to repair?
I'm going to be badging-down. Replacing front badge with a black one to match grill and painting the rear one the same color as the Treg. You'd probably be better off de-badging it.
