I don't believe it's "an Option". Running a single tire on low air pressure on an AWD is a good way to damage the AWD system, differentials and transfer case., on ANY Touareg.

It's the whole reason when you wreck a tire on a Touareg, you either replace all 4 tires, match a tire to same brand, model and tread depth, or buy a single new tire same brand and model, and shave it down to the proper tread depth to match.

Try reading your owners manual for more information on it.

I have had 3 Touaregs MY 2011. Only this latest one has TPMS. So it definitely was an option back in 2011.
