Hi ..
I live in Port Elizabeth South Africa.
The locking mechanism of the swing arm carrying my spare wheel at the back of my 2005 V10 recently broke. This is extremely irritating because the of the fact that I cannot open either the rear hatch or the rear window. According to the agents a pin which forms part of the locking mechanism has snapped. The sum that I have been quoted for the repairs seems exhorbitant. According to the agents the entire lock has to be replaced.
Is this really necessary?
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
