(Forgive me if this has been asked before - I've searched here and VW Vortex; there is an answer there, but I'm not convinced that the solution is working...)
My wife drives the Touareg through the week and I get it on weekends. This is a recent arrangement - I was driving it all the time - and until now we had not noticed any issues with the lock settings. However, we have now found that one key is holding the correct "Auto-lock/Auto-unlock" settings (that is, both of these settings ON) and the other has been reset(?) to have the opposite set (both features OFF).
I haven't done extensive testing, but I think the remote unlock is also reset for the "off" key, so that only "single door" is active. This is very annoying and has caused my wife to lose some of her trust in the machine (a very bad thing!)
I know this has happened to others - any real solutions?
