I have searched the forum for steps to install the block off plates on my T2, I can't seem to find anything. any help would be greatly appreciated.

do you mean the steps ? I ended up browsing the repair Manuel and just figured it out that way by looking at schematic. I was able to find some Audi one online but it didn’t have the exact same set up as engine ! I ended up figuring it out as I had to replace my glow plugs and number 6 is under the swirl flap motor ! From there I was able to figure it out ! If there was an actual step by step I would have gladly posted it ! Do you need help removing yours? Is your Touareg the same year (T2) as mine ? I could walk you thru it if you are struggling with it (as I did !)

I don’t know anything about the 2012 (sorry) I should have clarified that I didn’t find the info I needed from the search on the forum (for my year and gen ) SavageSoot was very kind and generous in sending a pdf of the repair manual, the only thing I find so annoying it’s that you can’t do an search on it ! (No fault of his part !!) so you have to leaf thru the sections until you find what you are looking for ! Anyways I wanted to add that I ended up fabricating my own plates to block it off ! Because the outfit in the UK (darkside) has a kit but I’m not exactly sure if it was for my year model or yours ! And it was very expensive. The swirl flap removal is not rocket science to block it ! Plus I have a dry ice blasting machine (cleaner ) I was also able to clean out the whole system of carbon and engine bay ! About to do undercarriage ! Well good luck if you go the same route as me ! Sorry I can’t be of any more help
