I have a 2010 TDI that I suspect has a leaky windshield. When driving at highway speeds in moderate to heavy rain, water drips from the headliner. It usually comes from where the headliner meets the side of the overhead unit that houses the dome lights/compass/sunroof switch. On longer trips, I've had some dampness around the sun visor and closer to the A-pillar, drivers side only.
I was sure that it was the sunroof drains, but the dealers cleaned the drains during my last service and the leak persists. It also does not leak when the car is parked. I bought the car last fall, and it appears the windshield is not VW oem.
Does this sound like a windshield leak? Any other culprits? Can the windshield be resealed, or does it just need to be replaced? Thanks in advance.
