Long story short, my 2005 Touareg V8 quit starting the other day( no crank and power to the dash); however, if disconnect the battery for a few and touch the terminals together for a 15 secs, the car will start right up. Nevertheless, once I get the car started, my vag com does not communicate with any modules.

I took it to the stealer dealer, and they told me it was the Kessy module.

Does anyone know of anything else i could check before replacing Kessy?

If I replace it own my own, will i need to have it programmed by the dealer or can i do that as well? How?

Also, does anyone know where I can get an affordable Kessy Module?

Thanks in advanced

VCDS doesn't communicate with any modules? That points to a bad CAN gateway in the instrument cluster.
