Hi has any one had there kessy repaired at AUTORONICS in the UK, mine had common faults, no keyless entry, no keyless lock and battery drain. they are now telling me that they can not check it for these faults and i need a new circuit board aprox $200.00 + the repair. on there web site they specialise in kessy repairs that is why i sent it there, i am now getting very concerned as with out it the car is useless, thanks for any input Vaughan.

Fixed my own KESSY. 2 Mosfets and 4 resistors on the left rear door module. Problem solved. Sorry, I don’t know anything about Autoronics in UK.
A new PCB $200! Thats is still a lot cheaper than going to a dealer and getting a new module which by the way is obsolete and they want you to get 5 modules so they can talk to each other. They wanted $4,270!!! I fixed it for $14! :)

You know, doing things like that is the reason VW is not posting record profits! Think of the harm you are doing! ;)

And be careful about lhd vs rhd modules. Get the one that fits your car. I already made the mistake of buying a door module from germany and not checking the rhd/lhd drive spec stuff. I toolk it for granted i was getting a lhd module from germany and ended up with rhd module from the uk.

Well Autronics have just told me they can't fix or test my kessy and are sending it back, my car has been immobilised (sorry for the pun) for 16 days and prob 5 to 6 more for it to come back, i have looked for a S/H replacement but can't find one with the same letter on the end of the part number. looking for a solution to fix this kessy. The battery voltage has been stable at 12.58V for the 16 days, if the kessy wos installed the battery would be flat in 3 to 4 days.thanks for any help. Vaughan

What makes you think that you don't need to just have the mosfets and resistors replaced?

Autronics in the UK have tested the unit and told me that they were ok, i sent it to them when i came across there advert about kessy repairs, you send your module to them they repair it and send it back no programing required. Mine has what i thought common problems no keyless lock or entry and a battery drain.

Here is one L version from Europe:

Latest version is apparently 3D909137FX. Best way to find out is to go to a dealer and give them your vin and ask for a kessy module replacement quote. They will give you the updated version. Remember you still need reprogramming the new kessy.
You have sellers on ebay selling kessy modules with pin and ready to use. I don't have any experience with this but you can always contact the sellers, give them your touareg model and year and get the info you need.

Hey TRespect i gave my local VW dealer my vin and the replacement kessy is in fact the 3D0909137FX, i have purchased a second hand kessy with this number and a pin number from ebay. The dealer said he can program this to my car i am just concerned that it will match up with the rest of my car, the dealer is unsure but said that is the one he would fit if i just booked it in for a kessy problem. do you know if i will have any problems with the newer kessy, thanks Vaughan.

Good. Don't forget to come back with a happy ending [emoji23]
I had a similar issue two weeks ago with the comfort module. My third brake light wouldn't shut off and the left brake light stopped working. I had a spare upgraded comfort module I bought on ebay. Last version for the T1. I plugged it in and voilà third brake like started working as expected and left brake light was back to life again. I got the module for less that 50€ with shipping.

Well no happy ending for me, today my car was booked in at the local dealer to program my secondhand KESSY and they said i could wate as it should take less than a hour. Well after 2 hours they told me there was a problem, the car would not communicate with the new KESSY and wont start. ( i gave them the new pin number) 1/2 hour later they told me they got it started but only one key was working. (both batteries are new and were working) 1/2 hour later they said it wont start and we are going to put your old KESSY back in.1/2 hour later they gave me the car back and said only one key will program at a time so you will only be able to use one key. They told me they would need the car for 2to3 days as they have to wipe the memory of the KESSY and program a new one. HELP!!! thanks Vaughan.
