That depends on whether your car has a DPF or not.

And it helps if you put your question in the thread title!

Unless something has changed significantly very recently, then NO, 507.00 is NOT the right oil for all V10s.

As above, it depends upon whether or not the V10 has a DPF or not.

This has been discussed on here and elsewhere MANY times and people have sourced VW paperwork on the subject.

We know from V10 owners worldwide that quite a few VW dealers get it wrong on the early pre DPF cars and have to be told which oil to use.

Pre DPF it's VW 505.01 or VW 506.01.

With a DPF it is VW 507.00.

I have 2007 touareg V10 as far as I know it has some sort of burner super heater but there no filter to change it.also does not have diesel exhaust fluid reservoir. The owners manual calls for 505 01 oil or at least 502 or 505 oil the manual does not have info about ACEA #s such A/3 B/4 or newest ACEA # C3 the oil I recently bought appears to cover all requirements (RAVENOL 5w-40 they the have a distributor in US.

In that case it sounds like your car is a Pre DPF and you need 505.01 or 506.01.

Unless the oil specification SPECIFICALLY states it meets VW 505.01 or VW 506.01, I strongly suggest you change it.

There was, on some V10s, a requirement for Eolys [also called PAT] fluid every 60,000 miles.

This is NOT ad-blu but a different fluid for treating exhaust gases.

Not many V10 owners seem to know about it until their dealer gives them a VERY expensive bill for 4 or 5 litres of the stuff, but it is available from other sources.

If you have a rubber flap around your diesel filler, lift it up and see if there are 2 nozzles under there: do NOT undo them. Just come back and I'll give you a link.

Dpkhym is correct, here is a VW published tech tip about the matter.
For informational purposes all 2006-2008 V10 TDI Touareg in North America were produced with diesel particulate filters.

For the avoidance of any doubt I repeat:

If the V10 [or R5] has a DPF it is VW 507.00.

If it does not, then it is VW 505.01 or VW 506.01.
