I have just brought a 05, and have found that the jack lock button sticks, I have to push it very hard to get to work, but it starts to raise up on its own, is it better to just change the switch or clean it, any thoughts thanks.

pure alcohol. It will clear the gum (not really, it will just move it to another location) and evaporate quickly without causing electrical issues or rust.

I don't think metho is pure, it would probably work mind you.
You can get electrical contact spray cleaners that should also work well. They come in an aerosol can with a fine detail nozzle, similar to a wd40 can.

ok no prob ... ive mentioned it before .... Hammer .... best invention ever does wonderful things for a myriad of tasks .... just doesnt take splinters out but will help with pain deflection !!!!
