Hi

I am about to place an order on another 150tdi, and my current 150 has the black interior. I am considering the corn silk colour for a a change, and was wondering how the light colour has stood up to wear and tear, scuff marks around the footwells etc.

Any feedback from those with the colour would be appreciated.

PS - my Dec 11 MY12 150 TDI will be for sale around Oct/Nov - if interested pm me.

Thanks
Bettsy

There's another recent Thread that asked for the best color combination : http://www.clubtouareg.com/forums/f49/best-color-combination-83519.html

In that thread, the Corn silk Int was discussed a little bit. I have a 2012 TDI Exec with the Corn silk and we love except for how hard it is to keep clean. Every little mark shows up and the driver’s seat in particular will pick up die from your cloths and turn it a shade darker in short order. HOWEVER; the fine folks on this forum turned me onto a product for cleaning the interior called Leatherique. It's expensive, but works fantastic. (again, look at the link for the thread on best color combination). I have no affiliation with Leatherique at all. I just bought some of the product and it worked.

That said, the Corn silk will make the interior of the car look larger IMO, and will be many degrees cooler in the sun. Keep in mind the stadium sized pano sunroof in the new T3 will increase the heat load on the interior. So if sun and heat are your concern, Corn silk is the way to go. If you have kids, pets, or hate to clean the leather surface, then you might consider something darker.

Hope this helps.

I have a white Treg with the corn silk interioir and I reckon it looks great (classy) and is certainly cooler inside on hot days. I agree it obviously shows dirt more (denim jeans are a culprit) but I also use the Leatherique product and would recommend it.

Just gone from a beige interior to black and regret the compromise daily.

Being a "sandgroper" & given the colour of sand it's an absolute bugger to keep black carpets clean. Can't get sand out of seams in seats - on beige you dont see the sand.

Might make a difference ...

on the Corn silk if you get the leather or leatherette seats; mine is a Sport VR6 so have the leatherette (in the U.S. the Lux and Exec get the leather ones). We had ours for 4 months and actually no stains, etc. to speak of, even though a few times have had on new jeans were I might expect some transfer ... I would guess this might happen more often in hot weather but we were also down in FL during this time with it so perhaps its a bit more resistant. The lighter color really does brighten up the interior.
