I have a 2015 Touareg V6 TDI. I was recently travelling on a dirt road and the infotainment system stopped working. No cameras, no parking assist pictures, no radio, no navigator, no media and not able to check systems - nothing. All other instrument lights and odometer is working.
We are 2000kms from the nearest VW authorised dealer.
Does anyone have any ideas that might assist so we don't have to take time off work, accommodation and fuel to our nearest dealer in Darwin?

Had that happen a few years ago but it was usually ok after a restart but became a more frequent occurrence over a few months. Warranty fix, new MFD controller by memory.

Thanks John
I think I am going to have to take it to Darwin. I found a blown fuse but now my electric for my camper trailer are not working as well. Could the connection to the infortainment system be effecting the rest of the electronics? Mcrazy

Strange, I haven't heard of this before or had any similar issues. Something might have "shaken loose" (how bumpy was that dirt road?) but I think most of the major infotainment connectors have a locking mechanism so unlikely.

Have you checked the fuses?

You could try removing and reconnecting a battery terminal to see if you can "reboot" the electricals.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks. Checked fuses. The battery connections are difficult to get to as they are under the passenger seat. Can you explain how to go about getting to the terminals? Mcrazy
