By accident I found out that the Mark VI golf fogs light are perfect replacements for the T-3.

Difference:

Plastic color.
First three digits of the part number different, but the rest of the number is the same.

Why:
Easier to find.
More choices. I.E. Projection fogs (aftermarket)
Big price difference.

Golf Light Part Number:

Touareg:

dont know what means "not a mod" but that one fitted perfectly on my touareg 2014

Removal is simple:

Use plastic tool to pry around the plastic bezel on the vehicle(around the fog light), eventually going around popping the clips.
Make sure plastic is not cold (it will break clips)

Then the light is exposed. One t10(?) screw holding on the light. And the cable.

Easy stuff. Get lamnix or some sort of protective layer to prevent cracking/chipping.

Bump so I can find this again. I took a rock to my passenger side foglight and need to replace it before winter sets in.
