Does anyone know when the vents at the bottom of the rear glass activate (aft of the b-pillar)?

I tried all the manual blower positions including defrost but got no airflow in the cargo area.

This is on a T2 with Two-Zone HVAC.

typically those are vents that lead to the outside to allow the HVAC to work properly. If you look around hard enough you should find some rubber flapper valves that vent to the outside buried under the trim panels.

if you look at item #17, that is the flapper valve. Used to equalize pressure in the cabin when you have the windows or sunroof open.
