getting ready to do a full run of brake replacements on my egg, reading this and dredding it. thanks for documenting all of this, will reference this troubleshooting for the upcoming job.

Also.... get yourself a 12pt M5 driver\bit and spare inspection screws since you're in a rusty area.... or you'll end up running without inspection plugs like I am right now because you didn't think about it ahead of time.

appreciate the support, and tip as always. always keep my triple square bit set handy when working on these badboys.
 
If you can splurge an extra $50, get parking shoes and hardware too... mine were gross and I wish I had parts on hand to just replace everything.... now I'm going to have to rip it apart again to do those .... but since I used aftermarket el cheapo parts, I'll probably end up redoing the whole brake job again in a year's time! 🤡
