Have there really been no firmware updates to the RNS 510 in the last 20 months? How come I see other RNS 510's on YouTube that have voice command navigation and the ability to read high-capacity SD cards? How can I check my firmware version and what's the latest version for our cars?

Give me your part number (from the sticker on top of the unit) and will be able to tell what the latest firmware for your unit is.

You need a Vag-Com unit - but yes it will tell you the firmware version.

Don't think they're going to release to the NA & US the version that you saw on uTube. I think they be done with the 510, too bad because it was so close (read: voice activation for directions) to being a great NAV

That sucks that they didn't want to port over the european firmware! They already did testing and fixed all the bugs in order to release it to the european population... why not just port over the necessary data to release it to the general public in North America?

Firmware is there, just not being released to us.
