I can't get the bloody thing to program off my garage door opener. I have tried everything the manual says!!! It has worked fine on my pervious 3 vehicles which all had the homelink system.
I assume you programed your remote to a "homelink" button, but did you program the opener to accept the signal from the "homelink" button? Most newer openers require both procedures (rolling codes and all).canuckcz said:I can't get the bloody thing to program off my garage door opener. I have tried everything the manual says!!! You still might want to check for a learn button on it.canuckcz said:My garage door opener does not have rolling codes
I can tell you right now you do not need two people to program Homelink with a rolling code opener. I have programed my Treg as well as my previous Lincoln Navigator and did both by myself. It really is not as hard as every one is making it out to be. You are better off to get the exact directions from Homelink for the ones in the car manual are not right. I got the correct directions both times from them.Dandog32 said:The manual states that if you own a garage door opener with rolling codes, you will need two people to re-program/re-train the garage door opener and one person to program Homelink in the vehicle. --I have yet to try this procedure, but I believe I have rolling codes according to the web site.

I had the same problem with my wife's BMW 3 series and my 06 Treg untill I went to homelink.com. I called their support number and got specific instructions on where to hold the hand help opener while programming. Works like a charm once you know the specific location to hold the remote.
