Hi all,

we went offroading over the weekend and being new to this, I felt somewhat uncomfortable when the Treg was tipped sideways. In the brochure it says the car can handle what? 20? percent or so before it will topple over, but how much is that? Its hard to tell, sitting inside.

So wouldn't it be great if the monitor would show the sideways angle as well as how steep the hill is in percent? It must do some kind of measuring anyway already, because how does it know that the descent-assist is required?

Can you buy any additional equipment that gives one this information?

Cheers,
Merl

Buy or make yourself a plumbob. You can easily make a plumbob and scale with a pointy piece of something heavy (i.e. a metal stick), a small level, a protractor, and a piece of cardboard. Total cost: < $20.

For the even more budgest conscious, just hang a plumbob from the rearview mirror, get a protractor, and with the car on level ground, figure out the extents of the plumbob at the various angles. Then, while you're offroading, if the plumbob starts hovering near the extents that you memorized, you'll know you're gonna be SOL shortly.
