Just wondering who is racking up the km. I'm in my 4th winter with my Touareg this year. There must be someone out there with some big miles.

Just approaching 80,000 km myself.

Be very interested it what you've had yours in for service for. Probably not much, the miles you drive suit a TDI motor just fine.

What are your oil change intervals, and have you changed your transmission and diff fluids yet at 40 to 60k miles?

Any propeller /driveshaft issues clunks yet?

Oil changes every 10k, fuel filter every 20, all filters every 40 as per the manual. done half of the oil changes after 30 myself, the others the dealer did.

In the shop for AdBlue issues, somewhere in the 50k mi zone, where they replaced the pump, heater, and sensor, new NOX sensor a few thousand miles after that, and overheating issues, which turned out to be related to the valve that goes the the HVAC heating getting stuck. I'd say fairly minor items overall, but since most happened after 36k and the adblue stuff wasn't covered under warranty (yes I know someone on here says it should be, but it isn't), glad I got the extended warranty which has paid for itself.

72,000 miles...I have had no issues to date, and have followed the VW recommended service every 10k. The only thing I do is change the oil filter every 5k myself. Great car! Runs, drives, and looks like new!

Thought I remembered seeing this in the service manual (that you need it).

Just clocked 90k miles on my 04 V8. Looks as good as it did 8 yrs ago!! Just changed the TB, thermostat, water pump and other stuff that needed change at 90k, took me back $2500 with labor. Dealer said it's good to go for another 100k miles before any other major maintenance is needed. I love this Treg and have maintained it by the manual because of it's power to pull my huge boat and it's very stable and runs smooth....I plan to keep it for a while though on average it's slightly more expensive to maintain and fuel.

Our 13 LUX TDI is at 30,000 miles. No issues whatsoever thus far.

Come on guys, where are our 100k+ group? I'm running at 185,000 miles now :)

2nd Prop shaft just failed, and lost the Kessy back at 120k. Other than that, it's been towing 7klb trailers cross country, climbing to the top of Teluride with the 1st Touareg group.

Been very happy with my '04, both for it's lifespan, and the family we have created over the last 10 years. Yup, 10 years!!

Looks like 72,000 miles (115873 km's) is the highest one mentioned so far - can anyone beat that with their T3?

I just hit 38,215 miles (61500 km's) on my 2012 TDI.

Only 45,900 miles on my 2012. Don't drive it too much since I retired mid 2012, actually thinking about selling it.

I did the 40K maintenance in the driveway, just bought the parts from the VW dealer and saved over $300 in labor. Just last month at 45K the AdBlue pump /heater needed to be replaced and was covered by VW....100%...no charge. Also had some parking sensors replaced as they would give false warnings, covered at 100%.....Oh, and the Battery died last year ( I had to pay for that one). Other than that, runs and drives like new.

75,000 on my 2012. Add blue pump went the second week. Little bit of a leak from the boost side of the turbo, there is a rubber hose that connects two aluminum pieces, a few folks have has that leak. Otherwise been a great rig.

Towed 2 snowmobiles 650 miles last week. Kinda forgot they were back there.

83,500 miles on mine, purchased it with 74,500 miles at the beginning of Sept. Just bought a 5 year 50k mile warranty for it last week. I drive a lot.

Wanted to follow up on this. Just rolled 100k last week in MD and pulled back into CO this afternoon at 102k. 27k in the last 14 months and ski season is upon us.

At 160,000km (almost 100,000 miles) on my 2012. Only issue was rear of engine oil leak fixed under extended warranty. Still love my Treg!

Seems most of you have a ways to go. 2004 R5 and just clocked up 425k...
So far extra repairs and maintenance as follows:
Cracked turbo manifold x2(first had to pay for second was warranty)
Dreaded drive shaft bearing failure x 1 only first one was at 150k
Full set of brake rotors
Alternator and drive coupling at around 390k
Apart from that hasn't missed a beat.
