Yes, I did a search but that only lead to massive confusion

I know the T-Reg has (somewhere) a wiring harness that I can tap into in order to install trailer wiring. Here are my questions:

Where is the harness located? (passenger side cargo wall?)

What adapter works as a plug & play solution? Is there such a thing? (Brand names and websites appreciated - I looked for the Pollak on Amazon mentioned here in the forums, but was unable to find it)

Do I need more than the wiring harness if my trailer has surge brakes?

My boat has a 5-way plug, fwiw, not the standard 4-way

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

Here is the $300+ suggestion via my VW dealer:

My wife (the werewife) just resolved the issue - she ordered the OEM module.

She said, "Screw it - this will work. It's what the Cayenne guys use, it allows all buttons & whistles (And lift gate buttons) to function, so the extra $$ is worthwhile if it eliminates "%^&&%#" cursing"

She is a wise woman.

The OEM module is the way to go. I use a Hopkins 7-Pin round to 5-Pin adapter for our double axle boat trailer. Works well.

Much appreciated! Thanks (we went with Curt hitch, btw less spendy than the OEM, yet rated at 6500 lbs, so way more than enough for my 22' Edgewater center console, our company's Harley hauler or anything else I'd tow)
