Hi all from singapore, i've just visited cars n cars, and am really impressed with the touareg. howver, b4 i jump into the purchase, my real concerns are the cost of ownership of the car, as well as the reliability...
1) how bad is the fuel consumption? i see that someone has posted 4km/l... i am driving the rx300 at the moment, and getting 8.7km/l... thats a big difference... i m wondering if everyone is getting an average fuel consumption of 4km/l? this is not saying that i m some kind of hell driver on the road... (besides, its singapore... how fast can one drive??)
2) average servicing charge.. how much do you guys pay?
3) reliability of cars n cars... the sales guy just seem to be talking 'sales' (like any other cars sales guy) and i m just not comfortable with him handling it... seems too pushy for me. i dont want to be buying a car, if the technical dept is not ready to handle such a hi-tech car. honestly, the gadgets are great! our family owns a bmw745, and its already complicated enough. cars n cars doesnt lay an impression they are ready to handle such complex cars as such.. please correct me if i am wrong
4) i'm considering the volvo xc90, which is giving a great deal at the moment.. 3 years warranty, 1 year road tax... the only thing is that the car looks great, but the drive is sucks... however, in terms of value... its great, cos the 7 seater is priced about 10K less than the current touareg ... not to mention the great room it has.. BUT then again, the interior and drive is just not the same.
choices, choices, choices... i really want to hear what you guys think
