I was trying to identify a rattle from engine bay and found this

its not connected to anything, and looks like a plugged vacuum tube, however, i have no idea where its supposed to mount to (there is a silver mount on it, but not sure where it goes)
if i shake this tube, it clanks against the heat shield, so i think its the issue

however, when trying to look for where to mount it too, i found this thing on side of air box, under the MAF (green thing)

if you look closely it looks like there is a section snapped off from end

i'm guess this isn't right?

car is new to me, so no idea about this.

The first is the differential breather for the front axle, the second is a broken breather line , which I think is part of the PVC system...


The breather clips onto the side of the Airbox.

so the first bit i just need to find where to clip it on

as for the 2nd bit, that seems a little more of a problem, what is it related to ? and is it a big problem being left as it is?

The connection on the air filter box with the green collar is where the connection from the air compressor goes for air suspension. I believe this line takes air for compressor and also dumps air. The line has foil on it for heat protection. To undo connection at box, with small screwdriver pull green collar towards box then push black collar away from box towards tube and connection will release. Using air suspension without having air supply hooked up to filter box could damage air compressor. Hope this helps, let us know if you find the air line.
