Hello all,

I'm a new Touareg owner - my model's a 2012 V6 Diesel. Looking forward to picking it up in a couple of weeks. Some initial information on good quality winter tires (20") and suggestions on vehicle maintenance would be appreciated (or where to post questions on the forum).

I've been reading through posts for the past few days and it's very helpful.

With all the snow you got this year, get 18 inch rims and two sets of snow tires. Lol

Nokian Hakkapeliitta's are the best winter tire you can buy. I second the 18" rims though - 20" rims were pretty harsh in the winter.

What they said. I run 18" Hakka R2's in the winter and 20" rims in the summer (currently wearing Nitto NT421Q's)

Same here. Hakka R2 on 18s in the winter, Conti DWS 19s in the summer...

I think the Hakkas actually handle better than the Contis, which surprised me...I run similar winter/summer setups on several Audis...
