Hi Guys, just thought I'd say G'day - just joined. Have been reading every inch of this forum to assist whether to fork out $$$ on a V6 Tdi - 3 days ago went into VW Moorabbin to query finance options and instead ended up just signing up on a Brown V6 TDi with sunroof option only. Comes in May and got a pretty good deal I think. Cheers and look forward to being involved in this informative forum.

Welcome to the club. Good choice with the TDI. Is V8 TDI available in Australia? Asking just out of curiosity..

Cheers. There's no V8 TDI available here. The only ones now on sale here are the diesels - 150 and 180 TDI. The petrol's been discontinued. The 2013 TDI V6 increased there standard specs to include 20 inch pikes. air suspension, bi xenons and a few other items but I think a small price rise came with it. Walked in last week to just get some finance figures and saleslady at VW priced at $92500.00 with a sun roof. I asked her to do a bit better on the price and she came back with $85,500 so I bought it - so much for just a finance query. Problem for me now is the wait to April - my first VW ever and can't wait - driven utilities (pick ups) all my life.

Waiting for it is a bit annoying, but the feeling when you get in your new car is amazing.. So great that you forget the waiting period.. Mine was built for 8 months.. And check out other threads about the break-in period of a new engine..
