Does anyone have or know of a drawing for the insert that holds the sensor arms to the ball stud.
Is that insert available?
I have one that has disintegrated and another on the way.

The insert is shown inside the red outline.

I'd check a junkyard and dealer for a price first... but for about $50 you could make a much more durable all metal version of this part: buy two heim joints with female threads, and a threaded rod, or bolt with the head cut off to connect them.

Better yet- do it all in nylon joints with nylon threaded rod and lock nuts similar to the factory one: McMaster-Carr

That nylon stuff is low cost too...

I have looked at those ideas and they are still an option.
I have the means to machine or 3D print the part.
Just need a drawing.
I may end up with the rod and joints.

As much as I'm into 3D printing Touareg parts, I'm not convinced that a 3D printed bearing or joint would hold up here because of the huge amount of movement. At the very least, I would get a durable bearing or joint, and 3D print the holder/rod.

The photo in my OP is not of my particular sensor.
The insert just crumbled into pieces.
