Headlight unit - repair

I removed my headlights for repainting and found that the previous owner had some issues with the removing as a part was broken and fixed with tape.

Is the whole unit for the headlights easy to swap without removing the bumper?

I got the headlights out with a screwdriver and hammering on the gears, but it was quite a challenge.

Fixing the broken part with glue would not work i think as plastic is quite hard to fix.

This may or may not work out in your situation but I used the trick of super glue and baking soda on it afterwards to fix a couple of plastic items before(not on the Treg).

I ended up with a nut and some glue, that works fine.

Another problem was the connector at the back. I broke the part out and connected it by hand.

Now it works
