Are you sure there is a film on the inside? I have seen some build up on the outside of the plastic lenses that will not come off with normal washing.

I have read that wet sanding with a very fine paper (1000 - 2000 grit) and then using a high grade automotive polish to finish the job.

You may want to contact a professional detailer in your area to see if they have done this/want to do it for you.

First post here folks. I have used a product called Crystal View with great success. Takes about 20 to 30 minutes. Cost $20.00 I picked it up at Advance Auto parts. Their web site says it is also available at Wal-Mart and K-Mart.

Not sure if these have issues with moisture on the inside of the lens or not. Have not hear of it. But if so, a trick I found some time ago if you ever get any is to lay the lens on something black in the sun face down. I used and old pool table cover I had. Checked it every 15 minutes or so to make sure all is well.

NAPA I know sells the lens referesh kit. Used it on my volvo with good results. Many of the quik lube places also offer this service.

Didn't Depiry once make a quick 2 line post somewhere on this forum, as to how to clean the projector lenses from the inside? I'm curious myself, as my right side one does seem to have a very slight "milkyish" residue on the projector(eyeball) lense itself.

As far as the exterior plastic on the assembly is concerned, if it ain't too bad, try the Maguires Plastx. Otherwise something more substantial will be needed. I actually posted this concerning the exterior only(not the inside) here... http://www.clubtouareg.com/forums/f64/headlight-restoration-kits-which-one-is-best-31524.html

I guess this is it? http://www.clubtouareg.com/forums/f43/make-your-head-lamps-look-new-again-28658.html If there is anything more you can add(or anybody else) before I embark on something I may regret, go for it!

I might have to give this a shot during the Christmas holidays..
