has anyone experienced a "hard" brake pedal, that being the pedal at the top of its travel with little or no give? If you have, has the vehicle refused to start? I have had several instances where when I get in the treg in the morning the pedal is very hard and I cannot start the car using my proximity method. Some times not even by putting the key in.

Dealer says yes they know about it and just push harder on the pedal to engage the lock out device, which I did and which works, but says there is no fix because there is no problem.

Thinking the brake system is giving up its vacuum over night. Not sure what that means.

Thoughts?

This only happens to me when the car is off and I repeatedly depress the brake pedal. After a few compressions of the brake pedal, it becomes "hard" and won't let me press down any further. Nonetheless, I am still able to start the car.

Your issue is unique because it happens without cause, unless a leprechaun sneaks into your Treg at night and repeatedly presses on the brake pedal :)

Sounds like you have a leak in the brake vacuum system. It should NOT leak down overnight to the point where the pedal becomes 'hard'. It should also be fixed under warranty on a 2013.
