Hankook tires?

I have a 2006 V6 Treg with 117,000 km and have worn out the second set of Pirelli's. My dealer is suggesting I go with the Hankook Ventus AS RH07 as they last longer and are much better priced than the Pirelli's. Do any of you have any experience with these tires? I live in Canada, and have the usual winter snow and ice to contend with. Thanks in advance.

From my personal opinion, they're OK. I actually have them mounted on my T-reg and drove for the last 14,000mil, still have 50% tread remaining. All year long, all seasons, always the same tire set and I live near Philadelphia, PA...so, climate can get extreme both ways, heat or snow/rain. Had a set of Bridgestone Dueler Alenza and wore 'em out at 13,000. However, I never did off-road, drove mine on paved roads only...

Thanks for the input. I have ordered a set of Ventus AS RH07 and they should be here Tuesday. Dealer has had good luck with them on other VW product, but this is the first set on a Treg. Hope they work out, as I am sick of the Pirelli's as I only get about 50,000 km out of them and the cost up in Canada is about $300+ each. The hankooks are about $185 ea.

I've fitted the Ventus ST RH06 in a 255/18' to my Treg and they are great. I've gone over to Hankook Dynapro RF10 A/T's - also great. Hankook do great tyres!

Good choice with these for a AS tire, I live in central Pennsylvania and they have got me to and from work with a little motivation over the last two winters. I have about 39,xxx miles on them and will be replacing them at the end of summer. They could be replaced now but I haven't been driving it much. With frequent rotating and I re-balanced twice, they make minimal noise and have worn good for me.

If you're referring to the Dynapro RF10 AT/M, then the "flame sidewall pattern" is not a pattern. It's there to cleanse the mud and provides some extra grip. It works. I just love this tyre.
