Had the H&R springs installed this week. Lowered 1.5" front, 1.2" rear. Before and after pictures below. Ride is firmer but not rough. Very happy with the result.

3 piece design wheels(with visible bolts) do give the illusion of making the mags seem smaller.

Quite possible also, to supplement the above given fact, that all these 22" mags we are seeing on the board lately, is wreaking havoc on our subconscious mind .

Almost subliminal.

Jeeebus that Touareg is to the sky! Coilovers are the only way to get that thing down to the ground a bit and even that wont help...lol. On a sidenote...I have a date with some beer and H&R springs in an hour....wish me luck...lol.:D

I would love to have it sit a little lower, but for me it was simple math for now. Maybe coil overs in the future.

H&R Springs- $300 for 1.5"
Coil overs- $3000 for 2.5" to 3"

I dont know why the T2 is so high. Maybe its the 20's. Im on 22's and this is stock height. VERY noticeable difference. Cant wait to see it lowered...

After reading this thread and seeing the photos posted by themacnut, I decided to get the H&R Sport Springs. I was tired of the wagon wheel look of my 2009 V6 TDI with stock springs. Sorry, no before photos, only after and these photos are not very good.

The drop in the front was very pronounced, not as much in the rear. Very happy with the drop, but have not really noticed much difference in the stiffness between the stock springs and H & R sport springs. I have 19" wheels with all season tires and there may be more noticeable difference with larger wheels with smaller tires.

I have noticed less roll in high-speed curves. Even with the drop, there is adequate clearance for driving in the snow when I go to the mountains.

I appreciate themacnut answering my PM's when I was thinking about doing this mod. :p
