Hey! I'm an SGPean living in the states now (Seattle) and bought a white T-reg. Sounds like you guys have basically the Package 1/2 with Keyless Start/Entry. I kinda wish I had the Keyless Start since it does get pretty cold here in the winter, but certainly not cold enough where I would HAVE to heat the car up for 10 minutes before driving. SUV's seem to be the rage now in SG but certainly dying a little out here.

Might I ask what the list price/selling price is on a T-reg in SGD? I know car prices are dropping but still, it would be nice to know what it would cost back home.

Hi Lumit - good to see that you have found Club Touareg

The old T1 version was sold for about SGD172k-175k but this has now been discontinued and the new T2 goes for about SGD187k. You're lucky to have bought your Treg in the YewSA - it's one of 2 places where the Treg is cheap (the other is in the UAE). Tregs are increasing here but still low in nos. You are probably out a lot less money doing it that way strangely enough

hi bro.... i replaced my pads @ 50k for front n rear. the wear rate for them is quite even. so if you are doing about 20k km a yr the it should last u for some time. fyi vw sg sells the pads quite exp.

Just browsing through the Forum and saw this one. A$300,000 for a Touareg including COE (certificate of entitlement... the COE allows you to own the car, rego is on top of that again). When I lived there back in the mid 90s a new Corolla was $100,000 but now the COEs are much more reasonable and controlled - although still a lot more than Aussie. My last company car there when I was there in 2010 was a Lexus RH400 Hybrid.... and I'm pretty sure that was over $350,000 (leased).
