Cordless blowers work great, when it's heavy snow or ice just stay home, that's what I do. 
I like the EGO products as they are very powerful.

^ Snow type is determined by weather and has zilch to do with ski hills. I skied over 30 days last season and only saw powder on a couple of those days. I use a blower and when the snow is light it works, nobody said this was a solution for every snow day. People need to stop overthinking. It is what it is.
