I'm starting to get the treg ready for winter driving. Currently it has 17" stock wheels. I picked up a set (4) of 18" stock 2004 touareg rims. I'm planning on putting some type of studded snow tire on these rims, my reading suggests that the brake rotors are different sizes 330mm for the 17's and 350mm for the 18's.

My questions are:
Do the speed sensors care if you run 18" wheels on a vehicle that had 17's?

Does anyone run studded tires on their treg? if so, what brand and are you happy with them?

I run nokian studded on my 3/4 ton pickup and 1/2 ton and am quit impressed with the performance of them, has anyone run them on a treg?

thanks for any input

The V10TDI was the only Touareg in NA with the 350mm brakes. They could use nothing smaller then 18" wheels. You may use them on your 330mm brake vehicle with no problem.
If you go to a larger diameter tire other then stock 29" then your speedo will be off but actually will be closer to reading correct speed since it currently is about 3-5% slow.

x2. Those wheels are fine.
