Hi all I had my gearboxes change by a machanic this week. Was excited. But when I got home I could hear a horrible noise from the gearbox/motor area. This was not the with previous gearbox. Any suggestion or help please.

Yes change gear box as it was slipping down in gears and clunking as changing down in gears. Auto gearbox

What model Treg, what year, what kilometres when the gearbox problems occured. What was the previous service history of the car and gearbox. What was the diagnosis before changing the gear box. What was the source and history of the replacement gear box. Do you have any VCDS scans from before the gear box was replace or after. Without a lot more data it is impossible to make any meaningful contribution as to what the problem may be.

Was the replacement from junk yard? Probably defective used part. My 2013 CC executive 4-motion 3.6L rear carrier went out and I found one from junk yard, replaced and the used replacement part was bad, in process of removing rear subframe assembly again to replace rear carrier with another used junk yard part.
