Fuel Door/Hatch Release Switches won't work

I have 2005 2REG V6 3.2. After I replaced the battery, fuel door/hatch release switches on driver door won't work! When I turn on the headlights, indicator lights in the switches get ON, but doors don't pop. I detached the bezel, and saw some kind of paint on the connectors. Do you think if I replace the buttons, it will work, or something is wrong on connector? I attached the pictures. I really appreciate it if someone helps me, I hate to use manual fuel door release every time.
