My daughter has an 05 V6 Touareg and It has a bizarre problem or it may be coincidental at this point. Usually she runs the car below half a tank of gas and the car drives fine. (it has a weird issue with Electronic Traction Control warning light on the dash coming on and off but that's another story)

Last night for the first time in many months/ever, I decided to fill it up with gas. (Remember this is the first time in ages that it has been full) Now the car runs very badly and this morning wouldn't start at all.

About a year ago, I had both fuel pumps replaced along with filter and now I suspect that one has gone bad again. The reason I think this is that the car runs fine between ½ a tank and empty but badly if you fill it up. This is what happened before when I had the pumps replaced. I replaced them once but used cheap parts and had to do it again, so got a shop to do it. The car ran OK with low gas and as soon as I filled it up, it ran so badly that I decided to find out what it was and it turned out to be one of the fuel pumps. I did the fill up a container after bridging the relays trick.

Any ideas? I wouldn't be surprised if one of the pumps or sender unit has crapped out again, since the one I put n lasted a month, I wouldn't be surprised if a better one only lasted a year.
