wood interior has been switched over to the black and silver interior trim. never liked the fake wood look.

Picked it up in May 2023 and drove it back to NY from TX with no problems and onboard computer average fuel consumption was 28 mpg.

Spent most of it's life in Texas, so practically no rust.

Oil changed at VW dealership when i picked it up in may, and again while i was having alignment done by VW dealership in June.

If interested, message me for more info or higher quality photos.

since i've already used one of my 10 VCDS vehicles for this VIN#, if the buyer would like any additional coding down at time of purchase, or afterwards if they're somewhat local. i'd be willing to offer it's use and any support i'm able to provide.

There are some cosmetic flaws (dents, dings, scrapes, etc) typical of a 10 year old vehicle.

Also have a 2016 Audi S5 w/ 6-speed manual transmission for sale as well. And maybe a 2013 Touareg Hybid for the right price. Yes, i have a german car problem.

edit: split spoke wheels pictured are going to be removed and replaced with the stock 19" everest 5 star wheels like the ones seen on the dark gray hybrid touareg in the pictures

Owned it a couple months and already selling? Seems sketchy.

I'm right up the highway from Jamestown.

Nothing sketchy about it, but I see your point.

I had really been looking for a touareg hybrid as a project car, but as you might know, they are few and far between. Then I had a few too many whiskeys one night and won an auction on the tdi touareg. Almost the following week, a hybrid pretty much fell in my lap, so i scooped it up. TDI is a great vehicle, and I don't mind keeping it since the hybrid won't be super reliable for a little bit. But I've also got the S5. So three vehicles and only two garage spaces doesn't make a ton of sense with winter coming. On top of that, I travel for work, so I'm usually gone for weeks or months at a time with only a day or two home in between when I can manage it. Honestly don't need one car, let alone three.

Anyways, if you're nearby Jamestown, stop over labor day weekend if you want to check any of them out. Happy to provide a cold beer for your travels if nothing else.

Thanks

Spent a day with the touareg. Switched out the wheels, and finished the interior trim swap to the black/silver SPORT trim from the silver/wood LUX trim. Took her out for a 40 minute drive since she's been sitting for a while. Pulls strong up the onramps and when overtaking on the highway. Android Auto Wireless worked flawlessly through the Ksmart box. Brake pedal was a little bit spongy, but seemed to stop ok. so next on the list might be a brake flush. or maybe just driving it more often would bring some firmness back.

Will upload some more photos i took as i did the work.

also was able to verify that the TPMS is working correctly. I guess i switched one of the front and back wheels from where they were when i took them off, because the tire pressures were reversed. so i also got to verify that the tire inflator/compressor is working properly. fixed things up quickly and easily. very handy.

and yes, i know it's dusty in there. i had the doors all open in the heat while working on the interior, so she needs to be cleaned a bit.

pics of the trim swap. I've never been a fan of the wood interior. especially the lighter colored wood that was in this 2012 LUX. but now i can see why so many people just wrap the insert pieces, definitely takes some time to change everything out. luckily my 2013 hybrid has the darker colored wood, so i can probably live with that for a while.

really love the way the black and silver SPORT trim inside matches the silver and black exterior on the TDI. very happy with the change.

I've had a few people ask about the Touareg Hybrid i mentioned in this listing. It's a 2013 with 198,000+ miles on it. I'm planning a full engine refresh in the spring, but for now it actually runs pretty well. Can run in full e-mode just like it's supposed, and switches back and forth between the hybrid and the ICE without much hesitation. The hybrids came with all the bells and whistles; so she's got heated front and rear seats, front driver and passenger memory seat controls, pano sunroof, OEM tow package, a darker wood interior trim, electronically adjustable steering wheel column, heated steering wheel, KESSY keyless entry and push to start (push to start works, but the door handle sensors don't yet), parking sensors front and rear, rear view camera (doesn't currently function), and ACC (cruise control works, but not the adaptive cruise control probably because of a bad sensor i haven't dug into yet). I've updated the RNS-850 to the newest K0711 firmware and updated 2021/2022 North American Region 6.24 maps, as well as added wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto added via Kremersino module.

This is the project i'd like to keep, as it's got a lot of potential. But if anyone wasn't really interested and would give me $8000 for it, i guess i could keep the TDI. And yes, i'm very aware that's probably unrealistic for a Hybrid with basically 200,000 miles that could detonate an expensive hybrid system at any time. haha. but i've been asked, so here's the info.

Any further questions, just ask.
