Hi guys.

I have an T1 Altitude, and its got a large crack in the windscreen. I am having it replaced through insurance, when I look at the front screen it seems to have a purple reflective shine to it. Im sure it is solar reflective, but the company which is replaceing the screen shows only standard screen with a grey su tint at the top.

I have contacted a VW dealer to ask if it was an optional extra when new, and was told all they had on the computer was standard glass with a grey sun strip across the top. I would like a like for like replacement but confused if this is a standard windscreen.

Are all Touaregs have this purple reflective on the front windscreen?

Thats what the dealer said, looking at the logo he noticed there isn't a vw logo, and said all windows would have the vw emblem on it when it comes from the factory. I then noticed that all the windows don't have the vw logo? He said the front must have been changed as no logo, but that would mean that all the windows would have been changed?

All the dealer has listed on the computer is standard green tint. so confusing. I just like the screen I have now and would like the same when replaced, but looks like I will have to have standard screen fitted.
